Courses & Credits
You may choose to take up to 5 courses from the 3 categories below and earn credits. Although most institutions outside of Korea accept the credits earned at Ewha ISC, you are recommended to check with your home institution before applying.
▶ Each course is worth 3 credits (45 hours).
▶ Fee-paying visiting students may opt to take one course at minimum.
▶ Please note that after the application deadline (Session 1: June 15, Session 2: July 15), you will not be able to change the number of courses registered.
▶ Any student who misses 1/3 or more of the class hours (equivalent to 15 hours or more) will automatically fail the course.
※ Please double check with your academic advisor to ensure that your home institution will accept credits earn from the EISC.
※ Courses with less than 10 registered students may be cancelled without prior notice. Please check your email or our website for updates on the list of courses.
Category I : Window to Korea (3 Credits)
▶ Introductory Korean Studies course
▶ A mix of real-time Korean Language class and 8 special lectures on various topics related to Korea
▶ Attendance and participation (both pre-recorded lectures and real-time sessions) will be comprehensively taken into account for the Pass or Fail evaluation. The course will be graded on a Pass/Fail scale.
Category II : Korean Language Courses
▶ 3 levels of Korean Language Courses (Basic ~ Advanced)
