Novel Coronavirus and Ewha’s Response (updated on Jan. 31)

In order to facilitate the monitoring of the Novel Coronavirus infection, the university has established the 'Infectious Disease Management Working Committee' and the 'Emergency Countermeasures Headquarters' under the direct control of the President in order to cope with the rapidly changing situations and policies.

Here are some important points to note:

Ÿ   Cancelling or postponing large-scale events organized by the university

Freshman orientation events organized by each college will be canceled, and the graduation ceremony will be cancelled under the guidance of the Ministry of Education. The students are advised to cancel or postpone events organized on their own.

Ÿ   Refraining from overseas exchanges until the global health emergency is lifted

The university's overseas exchange programs and overseas volunteer work organized by the Office of Student Affairs will also be cancelled or postponed. Please pay special attention to individual overseas exchanges, and especially make sure to postpone all the exchanges with China's Hubei Province until the global health emergency is lifted.

In a very rapidly changing situation, the university strives to monitor the infection with swift and strong countermeasures.

Students and faculty are strongly advised to follow the precautions for preventing infections of the Ministry of Health and Welfare. Also, in accordance with the guidelines of the Ministry of Education, it is urged that if you have visited Hubei Province and other areas of China(including layovers in China), please contact the university and quarantine yourself for 14 days.

针对新型冠状病毒防疫的有关通知（1.31更新）

本校为加强新型冠状病毒传染急病的防控，特成立“传染病管理事务委员”，随后又成立校长直属“特别政策本部”，来针对突发情况制定对策，及时采取相关措施。

为此，特通知以下注意事项：

Ÿ   取消或推后学校主办的各类大型活动

取消各学院举办的新生入学说明会，根据教育部规定，毕业典礼将被取消。劝告学生取消或推迟自发举办的各类活动。

Ÿ   在危险警报解除之前，暂停一切海外交流活动

本校与海外院校的一切交流项目活动及学生处海外志愿者活动等将被取消或者延后开展。个别性海外交流活动必须高度注意，在危险警报解除之前，与中国湖北省地区的各项交流活动必须延期举行。

面对当下急速变化的情况，本校正全力采取积极快速的应对措施。

为预防病毒感染，请在校生与教职员务必遵守保健福祉部的疾病预防准则。根据教育部规定，如若到访过中国湖北省或中国其他地区（含中转经停中国者)，需及时向学校报告，并自觉在家中自行隔离14天。

신종 코로나바이러스 관련 학교 대응 안내 (1.31. 업데이트)

본교는 신종 코로나바이러스 감염증 사전관리를 강화하기 위해 '감염병 관리 실무위원회'를 구성한데 이어 급변하는 상황과 정책에 빠르게 대처하기 위하여 총장 직속의 '비상대책본부'를 구성하였습니다.

이에 다음과 같은 중요 사항을 안내해드립니다.

Ÿ   학교 주관의 대규모 행사는 취소 또는 연기

단과대학 주관의 신입생 오리엔테이션 행사는 취소되며, 졸업식도 교육부의 지침에 따라 취소됩니다. 학생들이 자율적으로 주관하는 행사도 취소 또는 연기할 것을 권고드립니다.

Ÿ   위기경보가 해제되기 전까지는 해외교류를 자제

본교의 해외대학 교류 프로그램 및 학생처 해외봉사 활동도 취소 또는 연기될 예정입니다. 개별적인 해외교류도 각별히 신경써주시고, 특히 중국 후베이성과의 교류는 위기경보 해제 시까지 반드시 연기해주시기 바랍니다.

매우 급격히 변화되는 상황 속에서 본교는 신속하고 강력한 대응을 하고자 노력하고 있습니다.

재학생 및 교직원 여러분들도 감염예방을 위한 보건복지부의 예방수칙을 준수하고, 교육부 지침에 따라 중국 후베이성 및 그 외 중국지역을 방문한 경우(중국 경유자 포함) 학교에 연락하고 14일간 자가격리 해줄 것을 다시 한 번 부탁드립니다.
